A curated experience
About Restaurante Patios de Cafayate
Among colonial verandas, gardens, and vineyards, the restaurant at Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel offers a contemporary journey through the flavors of northern Argentina. The kitchen is led by Cafayate-born chef Virginia Marín, with a concept centered on regional ingredients and closely connected to the wines of Bodega El Esteco.
Gastronomy
The cuisine reinterprets the characteristic ingredients and flavors of Salta and the Calchaquí Valleys through a contemporary approach.
The 2026 menu combines ingredients such as llama, quinoa, corn, goat cheese, Andean potatoes, and meats with handmade pasta, trout, and vegetables. Current dishes include llama tartare, Salta-style empanadas, skirt steak with quinoa, trout, meats, and stuffed pasta.
In addition to the à la carte menu, the restaurant offers the La Rosa Menu, a three-course experience featuring a selection of dishes accompanied by carefully chosen wines.
Wines & Pairings
The connection with Bodega El Esteco is one of the restaurant’s defining features. The hotel and winery share the same historic estate, meaning the wines served with the meal are produced just a short distance from the tables.
The multi-course menu features pairings with different El Esteco labels, including Torrontés, Malbec, and dessert wines, bringing together gastronomy and high-altitude wines in a single experience.
Experience
The restaurant occupies the verandas and spaces of the estate’s historic main house, surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and the landscapes of Cafayate.
A meal can be combined with a visit to Bodega El Esteco, including a tour of the vineyards and winemaking facilities followed by a tasting. The gastronomic experience can also be combined with special winery activities such as Noches Mágicas.
