About Restaurante Altalaluna
Among vineyards and mountains, the restaurant at Altalaluna Hotel Boutique & Spa invites guests to discover the flavors of the Calchaquí Valleys through high-altitude regional cuisine, served within the historic estate of Tolombón, just a few kilometers from Cafayate.
The concept combines local ingredients, traditional recipes, and a contemporary approach, accompanied by wines from Bodega Tukma.
Gastronomy
The cuisine features ingredients characteristic of the region and seasonal produce. Artisan breads, cheeses from local producers, vegetables from the hotel’s own garden, spices, walnuts, preserves, and clay-oven empanadas are all part of a culinary concept designed to reflect the landscape and gastronomic culture of the Calchaquí Valleys.
The restaurant offers both an à la carte menu and a multi-course tasting menu, allowing guests to choose between a traditional meal and a more complete gastronomic experience.
Wines & Pairings
The connection with Bodega Tukma is one of the restaurant’s defining features. Menus can be accompanied by a selection of its high-altitude wines, bringing gastronomy and local winemaking together in a single experience.
Altalaluna also offers wine tastings, vineyard tours, blending experiences, and other activities connected with Tukma, which can be combined with wine-paired lunches or dinners at the restaurant.
Experience
Dining takes place in different areas of the historic 1892 estate, surrounded by verandas, gardens, and views of the vineyards and mountains.
When the weather allows, lunch can be enjoyed outdoors beneath the shade of the property’s old trees, making the Tolombón landscape part of the experience.
The restaurant welcomes both hotel guests and outside visitors and currently serves lunch and dinner.
