About Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel
Set on a historic wine estate in Cafayate, Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel combines traditional Salta architecture with vineyards, gardens, and the landscapes of the Calchaquí Valleys. The property shares the estate with Bodega El Esteco, creating an experience where accommodation, high-altitude wines, gastronomy, and history come together.
The estate’s main house preserves the spirit of the historic country estates of northern Argentina, with colonial courtyards, verandas, rustic furnishings, artisan textiles, and traditional Salta silverwork.
Rooms
The hotel currently features 32 rooms and suites arranged around its courtyards and gardens, with views of the vineyards, surrounding hills, and different areas of the historic property.
Room categories include Galería, Jardín, and Colonial rooms, as well as suites. The spacious accommodations retain the traditional character of the estate while incorporating the comforts required for a contemporary stay.
Each afternoon, guests can also enjoy a complimentary glass of Torrontés in the lobby, courtyards, or gardens.
Gastronomy
The culinary offering is currently led by Cafayate-born chef Virginia Marín and draws inspiration from the flavors, ingredients, and traditions of northern Argentina through a contemporary approach.
The menu combines regional products with meats, fish, pasta, and vegetables. Ingredients such as llama, lamb, quinoa, corn, goat cheese, and Andean produce showcase some of the characteristic flavors of the Calchaquí Valleys.
The restaurant also offers multi-course menus paired with wines from Bodega El Esteco, produced just a short distance from the hotel.
Services & Relaxation
The spacious gardens and courtyards are among the main areas for relaxation at Patios de Cafayate. The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, massage room, games and reading room, restaurant, buffet breakfast, parking, and laundry service.
Massages and wellness experiences complement the stay, although the property no longer presents this area under its former “Wine Spa” concept.
Wine & Experiences
The connection with Bodega El Esteco is one of Patios de Cafayate’s defining features. The hotel, winery, and vineyards share the same estate, naturally integrating wine into the accommodation experience.
Guests can take guided tours of the vineyards and winery and choose from a variety of tastings, ranging from introductory experiences to those focused on micro-terroir wines and premium labels.
Special experiences include Noches Mágicas, which combines a vineyard tour, wine tasting, sunset views, and local gastronomy around the fire.
El Esteco also offers additional experiences among its vineyards, making the hotel an excellent starting point for discovering Cafayate’s high-altitude wines.
Setting
The colonial architecture, historic courtyards, gardens, and vineyard views maintain a strong connection with the history of Cafayate. The estate where the hotel is located was founded in 1892 and today forms an essential part of the identity of Bodega El Esteco.
Its proximity to the center of Cafayate makes it possible to combine the tranquility of a vineyard stay with visits to other wineries, restaurants, and attractions throughout the Calchaquí Valleys.
