Chañarmuyo Guest House

Set among high-altitude vineyards and mountains, Chañarmuyo Casa de Huéspedes offers an experience centered around wine, gastronomy, and nature in one of La Rioja’s most distinctive landscapes. The property is located in the Chañarmuyo Valley, in the Famatina department, surrounded by an expansive arid landscape at the foothills of the Andes.

Integrated with Bodega Chañarmuyo, the guesthouse combines the rustic character of the La Rioja landscape with carefully designed interiors, regional handicrafts, and spaces created for enjoying the vineyards, mountains, and vast skies of northern Argentina.

Rooms

The rooms feature a rustic yet elegant style, with decorative elements inspired by regional culture and views of the gardens and vineyards.

Different configurations are currently available, including a classic double room, a triple room, and a family suite with additional capacity.

All rooms feature heating and air conditioning, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, cotton bed linen and towels, and daily housekeeping.

Gastronomy

Chañarmuyo’s restaurant offers cuisine closely connected to the landscape and traditions of La Rioja. The team works with local producers, meats, seasonal fruit, and vegetables from its own garden, combining regional recipes with a contemporary approach.

Empanadas, tamales, meats, clay-oven dishes, and other traditional flavors are part of a menu designed to be enjoyed alongside the estate’s wines.

The restaurant features an air-conditioned dining room and an outdoor terrace overlooking the landscape, where vineyards and mountains become part of the gastronomic experience.

Services & Relaxation

The guesthouse features an outdoor swimming pool exclusively for guests, surrounded by gardens with native plants and views across the valley.

Common areas include terraces beside the vineyards, a fireplace and wood-burning fire for the cooler months, a library specializing in Andean and wine culture, and a massage room.

The property also offers breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking.

Wine & Experiences

Wine is at the heart of the experience. The guesthouse shares the estate with Bodega Chañarmuyo, whose vineyards grow at more than 1,700 meters above sea level, benefiting from high altitude, a desert climate, and significant temperature variations between day and night.

Guests can take guided tours of the winery and vineyards and enjoy tastings of Chañarmuyo wines while learning about the estate’s soils and winemaking philosophy.

The current portfolio includes different expressions of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tannat, Chardonnay, and blends, organized into ranges such as Clásicos, Gran Vino, Viña Providencia, and 5 Hileras.

Nature & Activities

The experience extends beyond wine. Guests can enjoy hiking, cycling, and mountain activities directly from the estate, as well as explore different areas of the vineyards at their own pace.

Nearby attractions include the Mirador de la Cruz viewpoint and the Nuestra Señora de Itatí oratory at Tres Cerritos, which offer panoramic views across the Chañarmuyo Valley.

The guesthouse can also serve as a base for discovering the landscapes of Famatina and other attractions throughout northern La Rioja.
