About Vistalba Winery
Located in Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo, Bodega Vistalba was founded as the personal project of Carlos Pulenta, a member of one of Mendoza’s most traditional winemaking families. Built in the early 2000s on a family estate, the winery combines architecture inspired by traditional Argentine culture, time-honored winemaking methods, and modern technology in a privileged setting at the foot of the Andes Mountains.
Winery & Vineyards
The winery was designed to handle the grapes with particular care, allowing much of the winemaking process to take place by gravity and reducing the need for pumps. It features concrete tanks, wooden vats, and an underground cellar where the wines are aged in barrels.
Malbec plays a central role in the winery’s identity, complemented by other varieties sourced from both Luján de Cuyo and different terroirs throughout Mendoza.
Wines
Bodega Vistalba currently offers several collections representing different styles and wine regions.
Vistalba is one of its signature collections, featuring the traditional Corte A, Corte B, and Corte C blends, as well as Malbec D.O.C. and Gran Malbec D.O.C. The Tomero family includes Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir, among other varieties, along with the Gran Tomero collection.
The portfolio is completed by Progenie, dedicated to sparkling wines; limited-production wines such as Autóctono; and Corte V, its olive oil.
Wine Tourism
The winery offers a variety of experiences designed to introduce visitors to the world of wine, including tours of the winery and vineyards, tastings, and gastronomic experiences.
Current experiences include the Blending Game, where visitors tour the winery and taste different varietals before creating their own blend, and the Premium Wine Tasting, featuring selected wines from the Vistalba, Tomero, and Limited Edition collections.
The Wine Bar provides a more informal way to enjoy a glass of wine accompanied by cheeses, cured meats, and other selected products while taking in the property’s verandas, gardens, and surrounding landscape.
Gastronomy
Bodega Vistalba complements its wine experiences with gastronomic offerings specially designed to pair with its wines. Depending on the experience selected, visitors can enjoy different menus and wine pairings, as well as the more relaxed offering of the Wine Bar.
